This is no doubt one of the best to come from Lokassa's stable. I still remember the impression it left on me when i used to hear it from VOK through a minute sanyo transistor radio in the village.http://www.sendspace.com/file/sdvwh1
Next post will be an all time favourite by Mayaula Mayoni (still in a Belgium hospital i guess) - please make a guess which one this is, stay tuned.

Nice! Any idea who is doing the singing here? or anyone who is playing on the session?
ReplyDeleteI think it is Asi Kapela.
DeleteThat has been the mystery about this Mayaula track.
ReplyDeleteIt would appear to have been released in Nairobi but besides that, i have no other info on it.
Sorry CC, my above comment is about ba chagrins.
ReplyDeleteSanta Isabella, i think has Canta Ballou on vocals and most of the usual soukous stars suspects - Ngouma, Shimita ETC
Nope, Santa Isabella doesn't have Balloch Canta, but it has a living legend like Lokassa himself, I'm sure you know who this legendary singer is only that you never thought he would or ever worked with Lokassa, the lead singer in this classic track goes by the name Sam Mangwana, you do know Mangwana don't you? Yes you do, Santa Isabella was sung by him Mangwana. Now you know 😃😃
Delete@ CC, Kabuga,
ReplyDeleteThe link below has something to add on the making of santa Isabella
